I have used several mixers over the past years and I have never had one that is so quiet! You can actually hear yourself think when using this mixer. It mixes well and I really would recommend it.
great gift every time, just pick the color and size for the individual
This is an upgrade to my 4 quart KithenAid that I've had for almost 30 years. It still works perfectly but was too small for my current needs. I used my new mixer for my holiday baking. I was able to triple one of my cookie recipes and make them in one batch rather than 3 like I would have had to do with my old one. I know that I will be using this mixer 30 years from now. Kitchenaid is the best!
I read all the reviews of Kitchen Aid Stand Mixers and chose this one because I wanted something that would mix bread dough with ease. So far, that's all I've done, and it's a champ. I'm looking forward to using it for other things too, and would like to get a few of the attachments. The only challenge is engaging the bowl, but I think I've figured out the trick.
When my new larger mixer arrived I was excited to try it out. I own a 6000 so when I investigated purchasing a larger one I was excited to see that I could use 16 cups of flour in the 7000 mixer. However, I wish you had made the mixer a little higher. The bowl is bigger than the 6000, but with the mixer the same height as the 6000 I find the bread dough working its way up the mixing shaft. I notcied the bread hook on the 7000 was a little smaller than the 6000 so I switched bread hooks, using the older one on the new mixer, and had better results.
