      With the wealth of heirloom Amish tomatoes available to me this summer, I decided to "put some up" for the winter months when they were just a fond memory. I remembered my mother and grandmother using a cone-shaped device for pureeing their tomatoes, but I couldn't find anything like it. Cooking.com had several options--I ordered this one. This device has been a workhorse in my kitchen (ensuring that I was NOT one) during my canning adventure. It works quickly and well, with very little effort, cleans up in a flash, and after daily use for more than a month, looks like it just came out of the box. It is durable, efficient and dependable. I highly recommend it.

      A real nice product. You could probably find something cheaper at the department store or on-line but this is a cooking utensil that will last many years so why not splurge a little and get the best? Its small holes makes velvety fine sauces!
