As an English teadrinker, I like to think I know my kettles, and this is one of the best I have ever owned. The fact that the heating element is not in direct contact with the water, the easy-to-position-on-the-base- unit and its general good looks are the things that impress me most. It heats water as quickly as any I've used, and the water temperature is fine. This is used a dozen times a day on average, and with recent English visitors here, even more than that. I've had no problems.

I like this product very much and am extremely happy with my purchase. I used to own a different brand automatic tea kettle approximately the same price and this one is far superior. Only suggestion would be to make the spout a little longer to keep the steam from drifting back to your hand when you pour.

pouring spout design and placement

The pouring spout is too high on the body of the tea kettle and too short. When you pour, the kettle feels unbalanced and needs to be lifted high and tilted very far down once the first mug is poured out. This is hard on people with shoulder and/or arm weakness.

a few options missed

1. To see if the kettle has watter it has to be opened, and it does not feel good if it is still hot.

2. The surface has to be cleaned many times a day.

Otherwise I am very happy with it. Will not return but will not buy again.

Replaced one that had been knocked off the counter and broken... this kettle is excellent, heats fast turns, off automatically, and looks nice.
